Numerous clinical trials involving MRI-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound are in progress or about to get under way. These investigations will involve, among others, breast fibroadenomas, breast cancer, liver tumors, bone tumors, brain tumors, and other benign and malignant soft tissue tumors.
