The Physicians

Each patient shall work with her own physician, who will then consult
with one of the clinicians trained to perform the uterine fibroid ablation procedure using the ExAblate 2000.

Each physician who performs procedures using the focused ultrasound
system must first complete training provided by InSightec, using protocols and standards established by InSightec and the FDA.

All physicians using Focused Ultrasound Northwest's ExAblate 2000 must meet stringent credentialing requirements, which are based on protocols and standards established by InSightec. All physician actions, prescribed therapies, and medical judgments are those of the credentialed physicians, and are independent of Focused Ultrasound Northwest.

Focused Ultrasound Northwest does not employ any physicians, and does not take part in the medical care of patients. Focused Ultrasound Northwest does not make any determinations regarding any individual's candidacy for treatment.  Focused Ultrasound Northwest personnel do not provide medical advice or endorse treatment plans as prescribed for any individual patient.

Eric Fassler, MD, an OB/GYN, is the first physician in the Pacific Northwest to be trained in this cutting-edge procedure. Due to personal illness, Dr. Fassler is currently on disability and unable to practice medicine. He remains an enthusiastic proponent of this Exablate procedure for the treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids and is involved on a voluntary basis to educate physicians and patients of the benefits of this treatment.
